Community Service Opportunities

Community service is a rewarding experience for the high school student.  Many high schools throughout the United States require their students to help out the community in some way in order to graduate. Through service to others, students learn respect, improve the quality of life for others, learn new skills, as well as build and strengthen relationships.

Community service is a great way for students to build their resumes, skill sets, and a way for students to make new contacts.  It allows students to learn more about their personal motivations, develop critical thinking skills and to think about problems and social issues in new ways. Performing community service allows teens to grow as individuals.

Community service is another aspect of our mission at Scholar Athlete Advantage.  We are pleased to say that we have performed community service in the Philadelphia area by participating in events such as the Philadelphia Senior Games and the Philadelphia Special Olympics Spring Games.  Students in the community who would like to volunteer will be able to receive community service hours and a letter stating their service to the community. This could be used for the college application process.
